Description
The City of Anderson, through its Board of Public Works, is soliciting sealed bids for reconstruction of curbs and sidewalks on Delaware Street from West 1st Street to West 5th Street. The work includes approximately 930 square yards of five-inch sidewalk replacement, 138 square yards of six-inch concrete driveway apron replacement, three ADA ramps, 14 alley ramps, 418 linear feet of curb replacement, 232 linear feet of back curb replacement or addition, retaining wall repairs and replacement, compacted aggregate base, topsoil, finished grading, mulch, seeding, and related excavation, backfill, labor, equipment, traffic maintenance, and restoration. The project is funded through a Community Development Block Grant and includes federal requirements such as Davis-Bacon prevailing wages, Section 3 participation and reporting, nondiscrimination and equal employment requirements, and Build America, Buy America Act compliance. Bidders must submit the required bid forms, financial statement, experience statement, work plan, equipment information, non-collusion affidavit, certifications, workforce documentation, and bid security. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, begin work within 48 hours after the Notice to Proceed, complete the work within 60 consecutive calendar days, and provide a three-year maintenance bond equal to 25% of the contract price.
