Description
The City of Anderson is soliciting sealed bids for reconstruction of curbs and sidewalks on Delaware Street between West 25th Street and West 29th Street. The work includes approximately 11,253 square feet of five-inch sidewalk replacement, 1,031 square feet of six-inch concrete driveway apron replacement, 14 ADA handicap ramps, four alley ramps, compacted aggregate base, topsoil, finished grading, seeding and mulching, and approximately 2,500 linear feet of asphalt repair. Contractors must maintain local resident access and provide traffic-control measures, including barricades and signs. The project is funded through a Community Development Block Grant and is subject to Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements, Section 3 requirements, federal civil-rights and labor standards, and Build America, Buy America Act requirements. The successful bidder must provide performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, each equal to 100% of the contract price, and a three-year maintenance bond equal to 25% of the contract price. The prime contractor must perform at least 51% of the services required, and the work must be completed within 60 consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
