Description
The City of Montpelier is rebidding a project with separate Site and Building bid packages. The Site Bid Package includes erosion control, demolition, excavation, concrete pads, curbing, stone base, asphalt walking paths, parking-area construction, and related site work, including an alternate asphalt walking path. The Building Bid Package includes construction of a restroom structure with structural, architectural, plumbing, and electrical work. The project may be constructed under up to two contracts and is funded by city funds and a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant. Federal and state requirements apply, including Build America, Buy America provisions. Playground installation must be performed by a Landscape Structures-certified installer. Bids must use the forms included in the bidding documents and include a 5% bid bond or certified check; the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and payment bonds.
