Description
The City of Anderson, through its Board of Public Works, is soliciting a contractor to reconstruct curbs and sidewalks on Short Street from Ohio Avenue to Home Avenue and on Ohio Avenue from Pearl Street to Short Street. The work includes concrete curb and sidewalk construction, ADA handicap ramps, driveway apron replacement, 12-inch back curb, excavation and backfill, compacted aggregate base, topsoil, finished grading, mulch, seeding, and asphalt repair. Contractors must maintain local resident access and provide traffic-control measures, including barricades and signs. The project is funded through Community Development Block Grant funds and is subject to HUD Section 3, Davis-Bacon prevailing-wage, federal labor-standard, nondiscrimination, and Build America, Buy America Act requirements. The successful contractor must begin work within 48 hours after receiving the Notice to Proceed and complete the work within 60 consecutive calendar days. A 10% bid security is required, and the successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, as well as a three-year maintenance bond equal to 25% of the contract price.
