Description
The City of Aurora, through Aurora Water, is requesting unpriced technical qualification proposals from qualified engineering firms for a new radial collector well at the North Campus Well Field. The scope includes permitting, geotechnical investigations, well and caisson design, screened laterals, pump selection, a roughly 40-by-40-foot CMU pump station, foundations, HVAC, electrical systems, generator and automatic transfer switch, water-quality sampling equipment, instrumentation and controls, and related design documentation. The selected consultant will also design approximately 2.25 miles of pipeline and fiber-optic communications connecting the new well to existing facilities, evaluate potential future vertical-well locations, coordinate with Aurora Water, a construction manager/general contractor, and a well driller, and prepare drawings, specifications, contract documents, cost opinions, permit applications, and a guaranteed-maximum-price design package. The initial submission is a qualifications-based technical proposal; pricing is requested only from the top-ranked firm during later negotiations. The 100% design/bid package is due no later than July 2027.
