The City of Iowa City is soliciting bids for construction of approximately 0.9 miles of new multiuse trail along the south side of U.S. Highway 6, between Broadway Street and Fairmeadows Boulevard. The project is identified as Iowa DOT Project TAP-U-3715(674)--8I-52 and solicitation R4227. The project has a late start date of March 10, 2027, and allows 90 working days. Liquidated damages are $1,000 per day. The engineer’s estimate is $2,100,000. Plans are available beginning October 21, 2026, from Rapids Reproduction, Inc.
