Description
The University of Iowa is seeking written qualifications and proposals from suppliers to provide temporary locum tenens advanced practice providers for its Cardiothoracic Surgery Department. Proposed providers may be physician associates or advanced registered nurse practitioners and must meet applicable Iowa licensure, certification, clinical experience, and hospital-privileging requirements. Required clinical capabilities include adult cardiac procedures such as CABG, valve procedures, aneurysm and dissection care, Impella/LVAD support, heart transplantation, EVH, TAVR, AVR, and MVR; thoracic robotic experience is helpful but not required. Suppliers must describe their recruitment and vetting process, available provider capacity, placement turnaround, conversion or buyout terms, single point of contact, stakeholder involvement, expertise, risk assessment, fee structure, and three comparable client references. The response must also address offshore data, export-control classification, compliance with the solicitation and applicable laws, payment methods, parking responsibilities, and other electronic bid attributes. Audited financial statements and annual reports for the previous two years are required attachments. The resulting agreement has an initial one-year term and may be extended by mutual written consent for four additional one-year periods.
