Description
The New York State Office of General Services, Design & Construction Group, is soliciting separate HVAC and electrical contractors for the replacement of the deaerator and feedwater system at the Finger Lakes DDSO Powerhouse. The work includes removal and installation of deaerator, surge-tank, boiler feedwater, steam, domestic-water, makeup-water, natural-gas, flue, control, electrical, concrete, and related mechanical systems, along with testing, commissioning, operator training, rigging, restoration, and coordination of limited boiler-plant shutdowns. The project includes asbestos abatement for identified asbestos-containing pipe-flange gaskets, lead-related precautions and waste handling, temporary shoring, roof and concrete restoration, backflow-preventer testing and certification, and requirements to maintain existing boilers and the temporary deaerator during construction. The substantial completion date is 237 days after Comptroller approval of the Agreement. HVAC and electrical work have separate participation goals, bid securities, and estimated contract ranges.
