Description
The City of West Covina is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for roof replacement and improvements at Fire Station No. 123. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and incidentals; hazardous-materials abatement involving asbestos and lead-based paint; fungal-related work; removal and replacement of roofing systems; replacement of deteriorated plywood sheathing; flashings, vents, coping, insulation, cover board, walkways, drainage components, and related repairs; and compliance with the project plans and specifications. The project requires a valid California Class B contractor's license, current public-works registration for the prime contractor and proposed subcontractors, prevailing-wage compliance, and submission of the specified bid documents. The estimated construction cost is $570,000, the construction duration is 55 working days, and the bid requires a 10% bidder's guarantee. Successful bidders must provide 100% payment and performance bonds and a 50% warranty bond, along with the required insurance and other contract documents.
