Description
The City of Los Angeles, Council District 8, seeks a qualified consultant for Phase I strategic planning and development of Nations Plaza, a proposed two-week cultural activation at Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza during the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The work will assess feasibility, operational requirements, funding strategies, and the implementation approach needed to deliver the activation. The scope includes event vision and guest experience planning; conceptual site planning and space allocation; sponsorship, fundraising, revenue, marketing, and event-promotion strategies; a nation-participation framework; budget and financial planning; operations and implementation planning; and security, permitting, compliance, and risk assessment. Deliverables include a strategic master plan, conceptual site plan, programming and participation frameworks, sponsorship and outreach materials, an operations and production plan, vendor recommendations, a master budget with funding scenarios, a concept video, and an implementation roadmap for Phase II. The anticipated contract value is up to $270,000.
