Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Research Service is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quotation from a small-business contractor to restore and upgrade an existing Burnham low-pressure steam boiler at its Corvallis, Oregon, facility. The work includes replacing two condensate pumps, inspecting motors, replacing a feedwater pump mechanical seal, removing and installing a Power Flame natural-gas forced-draft burner and associated gas train components, installing a 14-inch flue extension and support system, and completing required piping, electrical, control, leak, and pressure work. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, permits, disposal, supervision, and incidentals. Required closeout and commissioning activities include burner startup and combustion tuning, CSD-1 safety checks, combustion analysis, inspections, product data, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals, warranty documentation, and user training as applicable. The anticipated contract has a 45-day period of performance after award, and quotations must include pricing for all requirements and a detailed technical approach addressing the Statement of Work.
