Description
Columbia County is soliciting sealed bids for snowplowing and snow removal at all County-owned parking lots in Portage, Wisconsin, during the 2027 winter season. The work covers multiple County facilities and includes plowing lots, hauling accumulated snow to a designated dump site, managing snow storage, and providing all labor, equipment, materials, fuel, supervision, subcontractors, and related costs. The bid is a unit-price contract with hourly rates requested for specified plow, loader, and dump-truck equipment. The contractor must have at least 10 years of experience handling snow removal operations for multiple parking lots, provide similar-project references, document equipment usage and time on site, and respond to daytime snow events. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required, and all personnel accessing facilities must undergo criminal background checks. The contract term covers January through May and October through December 2027.
