Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking one pulse modulator system for a University-supplied 50-kW peak-power X-band pulsed magnetron. The system must include a pulse modulator with integrated filament supply and fault protection, a separate snubber (de-spiking) assembly with high-voltage interlocks, monitoring outputs, external trigger compatibility, and adjustable pulse voltage, current, width, repetition frequency, and duty cycle. The equipment must be 115 VAC single-phase, air-cooled, and benchtop or cart-mounted, with specified size and weight limits. The bidder must provide detailed technical specifications, pricing for the base system and four separately priced options, warranty and service information, NRTL certification information, country of origin and shipping details, and required delivery by April 30, 2027. The vendor must calibrate and test the system with University-supplied magnetron and waveguide components before shipment and provide remote commissioning assistance. Optional items include an integrated high-voltage DC power supply, software control interface, reflected-power fault protection, and output waveguide hardware.
