Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a contractor to upgrade an existing Aixtron metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) system used for III-V and group IV semiconductor thin-film growth and related research. The scope includes control software and hardware upgrades, replacement mass flow controllers, programmable process recipes, equipment monitoring, data logging, safety interlocks, software configuration, leak and functional testing, and integration with the existing equipment. The contractor must provide delivery and installation at the ECB 2006 Lab, operating and maintenance documentation, updated wiring/interface and system-configuration information, user training, and at least a one-year warranty. Bidders must be the original manufacturer or an authorized distributor/dealer with service and repair capabilities, and must submit detailed technical information, warranty/service coverage, maintenance-response information, and pricing that includes shipping, installation, and related delivery costs. Optional upgrades to other system components, including the exhaust system, may also be proposed.
