Description
The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a complete inert gas fusion analyzer for simultaneous oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen measurement from a single sample, primarily for bulk metallic alloys, refractory metals, and high-temperature alloys. The required system must support manual sample loading, helium and argon carrier gases, programmable impulse-furnace operation, graphite crucibles, automatic furnace cleaning, controlled gas purification and flow, liquid cooling, calibration and drift correction, diagnostic functions, and machine-readable result export. The base purchase must include the control computer and software, regulators, startup reagents, specified consumables and spare parts, installation, startup training, freight, and delivery. The analyzer must be capable of a future vendor-supported automation upgrade for programmatic remote control, including documented commands, authentication, sample registration, method selection, analysis control, status and error reporting, result retrieval, and remote furnace-related actions. Bidders must provide detailed technical and pricing information, maintenance estimates, consumable and spare-parts pricing, warranty and service coverage, site and utility requirements, NRTL certifications, delivery and installation information, country of origin, and complete automation-interface documentation. The future automation license, automatic sample loader, and new analytical balance are excluded from the base purchase and must not be included in the base bid.
