Description
The State of Alaska Department of Military and Veterans' Affairs is soliciting bids for janitorial services at the Alaska Army National Guard Armory in Ketchikan. The contractor must provide all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment for recurring cleaning of offices, hallways, entryways, stairwells, conference rooms, restrooms, elevator cabs, storage areas, windows, floors, carpets, and other specified areas. Services include twice-weekly cleaning, monthly and periodic deep-cleaning tasks, floor stripping and refinishing, carpet cleaning, window washing, restroom supplies, trash handling, and snow and ice removal from sidewalks and entrances. The contract is firm fixed price, with an initial approximately two-year term and three additional one-year renewal options. The contractor must provide a supervisor on site during work, maintain required security and key-control procedures, furnish contractor-owned equipment and supplies, and respond to unscheduled cleaning or emergency services. Subcontractors and joint ventures are not allowed. The solicitation estimates a budget of $25,000 to $30,000 per contract year and states that bids over $150,000 will be considered nonresponsive.
