Description
Botetourt County is seeking contractors to provide janitorial services at multiple County facilities. The scope includes sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, restroom cleaning and restocking, trash removal, replacement of trash-can liners, high dusting, light-lens cleaning, quarterly window cleaning, and provision of labor, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and trash bags. The County will provide paper products and hand soap. Bidders may submit offers for five-day-per-week facilities, three-day-per-week facilities, and seasonal on-call facilities. Group 1 and Group 2 contractors must provide emergency and unscheduled service response, including acknowledgment within 30 minutes and on-site response within two hours when required. Routine janitorial services must be performed by the contractor's employees; subcontracting is prohibited except for specialized or extraordinary services authorized in writing. Employees assigned to specified secured facilities must undergo criminal background checks and comply with County access and confidentiality requirements. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder by group or individual Group 3 location.
