Description
The City of Lakeland is soliciting proposals for as-needed towing, recovery, transportation, and related services for City-owned and leased vehicles and equipment. The scope includes light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment up to 75,000 pounds GVWR; vehicle transport; winching; driveshaft removal and reinstallation; locked-out vehicle entry; and other authorized services. The contractor must furnish qualified personnel, dispatch capability, vehicles, towing and recovery equipment, tools, materials, fuel, and other resources necessary to perform the work. Services must be available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, including weekends and holidays. The appropriate vehicle must arrive at the requested service location within one hour of notification. The initial contract term is one year, with up to four additional one-year renewal periods at the City's discretion. Proposers must demonstrate at least three years of comparable experience, identify at least three similar projects completed within the past three years, and provide at least three references. A certificate of existing insurance coverage or an affidavit of insurability is requested with the proposal; the solicitation also requires completion of the Hold Harmless/Indemnification Agreement and Human Trafficking Affidavit.
