Description
The Borough of West Chester is soliciting a contractor to provide annual planned maintenance and inspection services for nine emergency generators located at wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, parking garages, a municipal building, and a portable-generator site. The work includes inspections, lubrication, oil and filter changes, fluid and coolant checks, battery and electrical-system testing, automatic transfer-switch testing, load testing when conditions allow, replacement of air-cleaner elements as authorized, removal and compliant disposal of waste products, and detailed inspection reports for each unit. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and supplies; respond to emergency, priority, and standard service requests within specified timeframes; maintain 24/7 emergency contact capability; be a warranty-authorized service center for at least one listed engine or generator brand; and have at least two factory-certified engine, generator, and electrical-switchgear technicians on staff. The initial contract period is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with optional extensions for 2028 and 2029. Subcontractors are not permitted.
