Description
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is soliciting a general construction contractor for Bid Package 2 renovations at Devon Elementary School, New Eagle Elementary School, Valley Forge Elementary School, Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, Valley Forge Middle School, and Conestoga High School. The scope includes terrazzo, vinyl, rubber, and carpet flooring; fixed lecture-hall seating and desks; window replacement; stair tread and rail replacement; concrete curb and sidewalk repairs; parking-lot paving; masonry and facade repairs; stucco repairs; soffit and fascia work; painting and facade coatings; sealants; and related demolition, protection, coordination, and cleanup. The bid requires a 10 percent proposal guaranty, submitted as a certified check, cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond. The successful bidder must later provide 100 percent performance and labor-and-material payment bonds, insurance evidence, and a signed and notarized agreement. Contractors must have been in business for at least five years, completed at least four comparable projects in the past five years, maintain an A-minus or better A.M. Best bond rating, and attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting to remain eligible to submit a bid. Work is scheduled to mobilize June 21, 2027, with final completion required by August 18, 2027; work after that date is subject to second-shift requirements and liquidated damages.
