Description
Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, seeks a qualified legal services provider to deliver housing-related legal consultation, advice, advocacy, representation, education, outreach, and referrals for eligible residents who are experiencing homelessness, at risk of homelessness, or otherwise facing housing instability. Services may address landlord-tenant matters, eviction proceedings, lease disputes, housing conditions, subsidized housing, fair housing, habitability concerns, and other barriers to obtaining or maintaining housing. The provider must support the Eviction Prevention & Intervention Coalition through regular on-site legal services in at least 10 participating Magisterial District Courts, coordinate with the County, the YWCA Tri-County Area, court personnel, landlords, tenants, and community partners, and maintain attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania. The provider must also deliver accessible services, track client and case outcomes, conduct education and training, and submit an annual program budget and narrative. The maximum funding is $200,000 per year, with administrative and indirect costs capped at 10% of the annual funding request.
