Description
Montgomery County is seeking a third-party administrator for its self-insured general liability claims program. The selected contractor will assume new and existing claims, provide claims investigation, adjusting, reserve management, subrogation, litigation coordination, excess-carrier notifications, claims payments, online claims-management access, monthly and ad hoc reporting, and ongoing support for County personnel and related insurance stakeholders. The contractor must provide experienced client service, claims management, claims specialist, and information technology personnel; support transition activities from the incumbent administrator; maintain secure claims files and disaster-recovery capabilities; provide a claims-management system and online claim submission; and cooperate with a future administrator at contract end. Proposals must include a transition timeline, descriptions of claims processes and security controls, at least two comparable transition examples, at least three substantially similar references, a disaster recovery plan, and a recent computer security audit or comparable security documentation. Annual flat-fee pricing is requested, with an optional per-claim fee structure. The initial term is three years, with possible extensions up to a cumulative five-year term.
