Description
Chester County is seeking a contractor to construct an extension of the Struble Trail from the existing terminus near the Dorlan Mill Road Trailhead toward Marsh Creek State Park in Upper Uwchlan Township. The work includes clearing, grading, demolition of an existing water tower, erosion and sedimentation controls, trail subbase and asphalt paving, stone infiltration trenches, storm drainage facilities, fencing, signage, seeding, and related site restoration. The project also includes improvements at the Dorlan Mill Road crossing, including asphalt trail work, ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities, pavement markings, lighting, conduit and electrical work, and installation of an overhead and post-mounted rectangular rapid flashing beacon system with accessible pedestrian signal pushbuttons and thermal video detection. Bidders must submit the prescribed bid forms, qualification and responsibility certifications, references, consent of surety, employment verification, worker-protection certification, relevant project experience documentation, and bid guaranty. The successful bidder must provide 100% performance and labor-and-materials bonds and a one-year warranty after award.
