Description
The Borough of West Chester is soliciting online bids for the supply of standard and special-order street and traffic signs, including aluminum sign blanks, reflective sheeting, lettering, posts, mounting brackets, bolts, and related hardware. Signs must comply with applicable Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices standards, ASTM requirements, and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation approval requirements. Standard signs are required within seven days of ordering and special-order signs within fifteen days. The base contract covers 2027, with bid alternates for potential extensions through 2028 and 2029. The solicitation requires a 10% bid bond or other permitted bid security, prohibits subcontractors, and requires references, qualification information, affidavits, insurance documentation, and completed online bid and pricing responses. A performance and payment bond or equivalent security equal to 100% of the contract amount is required after award.
