Description
Lancaster County is seeking a qualified contractor to provide year-round trash hauling, recycling collection, refuse and recyclable-material disposal, receptacle provision and maintenance, scheduled and as-needed pickups, file-purge dumpster services, and related transportation, equipment, labor, and supplies at multiple county facilities. Services include collection of refuse, kitchen and medical trash where applicable, mixed office stock, cardboard, glass, cans, and plastic; hazardous, infectious, and building-demolition waste are excluded. The contractor must provide collection vehicles, containers, backup equipment, litter cleanup, route schedules, lawful disposal, and service at specified facilities in Lancaster County and Manheim, Pennsylvania. Bidders must demonstrate at least five years of relevant trash-hauling experience, provide municipal references, a current license authorizing trash services in the applicable municipalities, an audited financial statement, a service and equipment-failure plan, and the required bid forms and disclosures. The contract has a two-year base period beginning January 4, 2027, with two one-year option periods. A $10,000 performance bond based on the annual contract price and specified insurance coverages are required after award; the bid security requirement is stated as N/A.
