Description
The U.S. Navy is soliciting a firm-fixed-price quote to repair, upgrade, test, inspect, and return 12 Engine Data Units, part number 9B-84052-4 and NSN 6620-01-552-8829, to a ready-for-issue condition. The work includes inspection, component repair or replacement, reassembly, testing, required parts and materials, process-control documentation, quality-control documentation, and government inspection and acceptance. The contractor must perform the repairs at its identified facility and provide the necessary labor, equipment, tooling, and materials. The requirement is identified as a sole-source Navy repair procurement because the government does not own the technical data or rights needed to obtain the work from additional sources; Innovative Solutions & Support is identified as the known source. Other firms may submit quotes, but firms not already approved for the material must submit a Source Approval Request, and the procurement will not be delayed for SAR approval. The contractor must maintain applicable quality systems, calibration controls, repair and inspection procedures, configuration management, storage, and historical records, and must comply with the stated packaging and marking requirements.
