This advance procurement notice concerns a potential design-bid-build contract for general contracting services and the supply and installation of all materials and labour required to construct a 1,554-square-metre warehouse facility for the Combat Aerial Delivery Support Section/Major Air Disaster Unit. The facility is expected to include warehouse space, areas for parachute inspection, drying, preparation, and packing, a carpentry shop, operational-material and equipment storage, administrative offices, and space for forklift and other material-handling operations. This is not a bid solicitation or request for proposals. The anticipated procurement is a two-step process consisting of a Request for Expression of Interest followed by a tender phase, subject to approval to proceed. The approximate estimated value is $11 million to $13 million. The anticipated security requirement is Designated Organization Screening, and contractors may seek sponsorship through Defence Construction Canada's Industrial Security Program. The notice indicates that Indigenous business participation may be included under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business.
