Description
The University of California, Los Angeles is soliciting a prequalified subcontractor for Bid Package 08 at the Acosta Operations Center. The lump-sum subcontract includes labor, materials, and equipment for cold-formed metal framing, gypsum board assemblies, acoustical ceilings, thermal insulation, blocking, a studio pipe grid system, firestopping/fire safing, shaft walls, fire-rated assemblies, backing, and related accessories. The estimated construction cost is $480,221. The work will occur in an occupied existing facility and must be coordinated with other trades for penetrations, supports, and openings. Work may be phased and may require night or weekend work because of restricted hours and operational constraints. Only the six subcontractors listed as prequalified in the solicitation may bid, and the successful bidder must hold an active California B general building contractor license, comply with prevailing-wage and California public-works requirements, and register with the California Department of Industrial Relations as required.
