Description
The Marion County Housing Authority is soliciting quotes for replacement of all exterior doors leading into residential units at 606 Illinois Street, Alma, Illinois. The contractor must remove and dispose of existing storm doors, exterior doors, frames, thresholds, hardware, and associated components, then install twelve pre-hung 36-by-80-inch exterior doors with adjustable steel frames. The Housing Authority will supply the complete pre-hung door units, passage handles, deadbolts, and strike plates; the contractor must provide remaining required hardware, labor, equipment, supervision, brickmould, interior casing, flashing, sealant, and related materials. The work must include proper weatherproofing, moisture-barrier integration, smooth operation, secure latching, tight seals, daily cleanup, debris disposal, resident-access protection, code and OSHA compliance, coordination with Housing Authority staff, and correction of contractor-caused damage. Bids must include a current certificate of insurance showing general liability and workers’ compensation coverage, as well as copies of applicable licenses. The project must be completed by October 29, 2026, and contractors must comply with Davis-Bacon and Related Acts requirements, including certified payroll obligations.
