Description
Salt Lake City Corporation is soliciting proposals for comprehensive janitorial maintenance services at approximately 18 City buildings and facilities, including offices, police facilities, a courthouse, a cemetery administration building, a ballpark, childcare and community facilities, and water reclamation facilities. The contractor must furnish labor, supervision, equipment, cleaning materials, consumable supplies, restroom supplies, mat services, floor and carpet care, window and glass cleaning, waste removal, recycling, and related services. Service frequencies range from weekly to seven days per week, with additional as-needed services and the possibility of adding or removing facilities during the contract term. The scope emphasizes green cleaning, environmentally preferable products, employee training, quality assurance, reporting, recycling, and sustainable operating practices. Proposals are evaluated on qualifications, operations and staffing, quality assurance and management, sustainability and green cleaning, value-added capabilities, policy criteria, and cost. The selected contractor must provide detailed technical responses, a completed cost sheet, and a cover sheet; a mandatory pre-proposal conference and site tour is required for eligibility. The resulting contract term is five years.
