Description
Cumberland County is soliciting a single-prime construction contract for upgrades to coolers and freezers at the Crown Coliseum Complex. The work includes demolition and replacement of existing refrigeration equipment, installation of walk-in cooler and freezer evaporator fan coil units, air-cooled refrigerant condensing units, refrigerant piping, insulation, condensate drain piping with electric heat tracing, equipment supports, testing, balancing, commissioning, startup, and owner training. The electrical scope includes demolition of existing refrigeration-related circuits and equipment; new branch circuits, disconnects, conductors, conduit, and a 200-amp, 208Y/120-volt, three-phase panelboard for roof-mounted condensing units; modifications to existing circuits; and associated grounding, labeling, and controls. The contractor must provide a complete operational installation, coordinate work while adjacent portions of the facility remain occupied, and comply with specified warranties, inspections, closeout documentation, and a 12-month warranty on materials and workmanship. A $30,000 contingency allowance is included. Bid, performance, and payment bonds are required, and the project has a 15% Cumberland County minority and women-owned business participation goal.
