Description
The North Carolina National Guard's Construction Facilities Management Office is seeking licensed architectural and engineering services for the replacement of an existing 3,550-square-foot modular classroom building with a permanent facility within the same footprint. The design must accommodate four classrooms, gender-segregated ADA-compliant latrines, a staff breakroom, janitorial closet, administrative office space, and a climate-controlled IT closet. The scope also includes civil and site drawings for outdoor rinsing stations with utility connections, a perimeter security fence, site grading with heavy-use gravel surfacing, and an outdoor break-area pavilion. The selected A/E firm must conduct site investigations and produce a complete biddable 100% design-bid-build package, including plans, technical specifications, and an independent government cost estimate. Following design approval, the firm will provide construction administration, including submittal review, responses to requests for information, periodic on-site quality-assurance inspections, final inspection, commissioning support, and closeout. The project has a total budget of $1,353,000 and is contingent on state funding; initial design funding is fully funded, while bidding, construction administration, and closeout are budgeted from the 2025–2027 biennium. Proposers must be properly licensed in North Carolina.
