Description
The State of Vermont is seeking one or more contractors to provide trash removal, recycling, and food scrap collection services for state agencies and departments. The scope includes collection of mandated recyclable materials, food scraps, leaf and yard debris upon request, and mixed refuse; delivery, rental, cleaning, labeling, repair, replacement, and removal of containers; scheduled, on-call, and as-needed pickups; emergency response; and compliant transport to certified composting, anaerobic digestion, recycling, transfer-station, or landfill facilities. Vendors may bid on one or more service locations and may subcontract one or more service streams. The solicitation also requests pricing for compactors, transfer stations, recycling facilities, and landfills. Proposals must include a cover letter, technical response, price schedule, references for at least three similar customers from the last 12 months, applicable reporting documentation, and a completed Certificate of Compliance. The contract is for a one-year initial term with four additional one-year renewal options, with an anticipated start date of October 1, 2026. Services are to comply with applicable environmental regulations and include monthly tonnage reporting by material stream and location.
