Description
The Borough of Dormont is soliciting bids for Phase 1 development of an existing borough park. The scope includes clearing and demolition, excavation and grading, erosion and sediment controls, storm sewer installation, concrete paving, retaining walls, steps, handrails, an entry plaza, benches, hillside playground equipment, landscaping, plantings, seeding, utility coordination, playground and community-building coordination, and required DCNR signage. The solicitation also includes base and additional electrical construction for an existing restroom building and new park site lighting, as well as an alternate for community involvement development. The project is partially funded through a DCNR Land and Water Conservation Fund grant and requires compliance with Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates, DCNR LWCF procurement guidelines, DBE/SBE good-faith-effort requirements, Buy America requirements, and applicable nondiscrimination and sexual-harassment provisions. A certified check or bidder’s bond equal to 10% of the total proposal is required with the bid; performance, maintenance, and labor-and-material payment bonds and specified insurance certificates are required from the successful bidder upon contract execution.
