Description
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting bids for non-hazardous sludge removal, hauling, reuse-facility disposal, and related refuse services at participating correctional, camp, and juvenile facilities statewide. The scope includes loading prepared Class B sludge, supplying or using covered bins, transporting sludge in sealed vehicles to permitted reuse facilities, providing equipment and personnel, turning biosolids to meet Class B standards, cleaning loading areas, maintaining contractor-supplied containers, and submitting disposal-weight documentation. Services are to be performed as needed, generally Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., with requested service within 48 hours. This is a master agreement with separate purchase orders by participating location; quantities are estimates and there is no guarantee of work. Bidders may bid on one or more locations or groups, but must price all items within any selected location or group. The agreement term is scheduled from April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2030. Bidders must provide applicable licenses, motor-carrier and driver credentials, permitted sludge or biosolid reuse-facility documentation, and other required certifications and forms.
