Description
Upper Gwynedd Township is soliciting street sweeping services for approximately 70 miles of township roads, equivalent to about 140 curb miles. The contractor must perform scheduled sweeping, supply and maintain suitable mechanical or vacuum sweepers and dump trucks, provide water spray systems and necessary equipment, remove swept debris to the Township’s disposal site, and handle approximately four sweeping cycles during the contract period. State and county roads within the Township are included, while private roads, sidewalks, adjacent areas, and parking lots are excluded. Work is generally limited to Monday through Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., subject to weather and Township direction. The contract term is one year, from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027. Electronic sealed bids must be submitted through PennBid by 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 30, 2026. The bid must include a completed Statement of Bidder’s Qualifications, bid security equal to 10% of the bid, and an executed notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit. The qualifications package requires relevant experience, current and completed contract references with contact information, equipment information, subcontractor information, and proof of an acceptable Pennsylvania disposal method. A performance bond and Labor and Materials Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract amount, are required after award; insurance and other post-award documents are also required after award.
