Description
The City of Alexandria seeks one or more contractors to provide mixed debris removal and disposal services within the city’s jurisdictional boundaries. The scope includes cutting, loading, transporting, and properly disposing of vegetative debris and construction-demolition debris from public property, rights-of-way, easements, staging areas, and, when specifically authorized, private or orphan road segments. Services may include removal of tree limbs, trunks, stumps, leaves, grass clippings, fences, pallets, shingles, carpet, sheetrock, and other eligible debris. The contractor must furnish labor, equipment, fuel, traffic control, safety measures, documentation, and disposal arrangements. Required capabilities include debris collection and hauling, hand crews, trucks and heavy equipment, daily operational reporting, load-ticket documentation, utility coordination, environmental compliance, and FEMA-related contract compliance. Proposals must include technical methodology, staffing and resumes, licenses and certifications, financial records, relevant project experience and references, litigation and sanctions disclosures, subcontractor outreach documentation, and the City’s price proposal schedules. The contract has a 12-month base term from award, with up to two additional 12-month renewal periods.
