Description
The City of Social Circle, Georgia, is soliciting proposals for sewerage system improvements and construction of the Little River Water Pollution Control Plant. Contract 1 includes approximately 3,600 linear feet of ductile iron and PVC sewer, manholes, jack-and-bore work, rock excavation, clearing, erosion and sediment control, and related appurtenances, with 270 consecutive calendar days allotted for construction. Contract 2 includes a screen and grit structure, two aeration basins, two final clarifiers, tertiary filtration, ultraviolet disinfection, sludge and plant pump stations, chemical feed facilities, a control building, digester and sludge dewatering building, piping, electrical systems, controls, and related appurtenances. Bidders must hold a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and employ a state Utility Manager certificate holder. The proposal must include a bid bond of at least 5% of the lump-sum bid; performance and payment bonds are each required at 100% of the contract amount.
