The City of Waynesboro is soliciting a contractor for the St. George Crossing Subdivision Project. The work includes approximately 3,680 linear feet of 8-inch ductile iron water main, 600 linear feet of 2-inch water main, 11 fire hydrants, water laterals, 4,133 linear feet of 8-inch sewer main, 1,830 linear feet of 4-inch sewer laterals, 23 manholes, 61 cleanouts, storm drainage piping and inlets, riprap, concrete sidewalks and pavement, curb and gutter, asphalt paving, erosion controls, and complete grading. The contractor must provide proof of a valid utility-contractor license. The solicitation requires a bid bond or certified cashier's check equal to at least 10% of the base bid. The project is funded through the OneGeorgia Authority's Rural Workforce Housing Initiative, administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, and is subject to Build America, Buy America requirements and Section 3 requirements; Section 3 businesses are encouraged to apply. Plans and specifications may be obtained from Parker Engineering, LLC, for a nonrefundable fee of $150 per full-size set.
