Description
The Kentucky Board of Optometric Examiners seeks a qualified corporation, professional organization, or similar legal entity to operate its Impaired Practitioners Program. Services include screening and interviewing candidates; providing intervention and prevention services based on a twelve-step program or equivalent support group; coordinating treatment; arranging random urine or blood drug screens; communicating with participants’ therapists; maintaining case files and executed releases; monitoring compliance with program and settlement-agreement requirements; recommending rehabilitation plans or modifications; and reporting significant events and participant progress to the Board. The contractor must work closely with Board staff, attend Complaint Committee and Board meetings as requested, and provide written reports before scheduled Board meetings. The anticipated initial contract term is October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2028, with up to two additional two-year renewal periods. Proposals must include separate technical, cost, and proprietary-information documents submitted through the Kentucky Vendor Self Service system; pricing must appear only in the Cost Proposal.
