Description
Lextran, the Transit Authority of Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, is issuing this Request for Proposals (RFP) to award a competitive contract for snow removal services. The contractor will be responsible for clearing snow and ice from Lextran's properties located at 200 W. Loudon Avenue (headquarters) and 150 E. Vine Street (Transit Center), including Beck Alley and the High Street electric charger area. Services include plowing parking lots and vehicle yards, brushing permeable pavers, applying ice melt (Peladow Premier Snow and Ice Melter Calcium Chloride or approved equal), and clearing sidewalks and entryways. The contractor must provide a guaranteed response time and ensure snow removal is completed before bus pull-out between 4:30 and 5:00 AM. The contract term is 2 years plus 3 additional one-year options.
