Description
The University of Kentucky is soliciting sealed lump-sum proposals from prime contractors for project 3023.00, replacing the existing interior OP-1 air handling unit serving second-floor operating rooms in Pavilion H at UK Chandler Medical Center with a new exterior air handling unit. The work includes a modular air-cooled chiller, dedicated reverse-osmosis water system, controls integration with the existing building automation system, structural framing, architectural modifications, electrical work, fire protection modifications, demolition, and restoration. Available trade packages are general trades, demolition, structural steel, mechanical, and electrical. Bids must be submitted on the University's Official Form of Proposal in a sealed envelope, accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. Substantial completion is required within 236 consecutive calendar days from contract commencement, followed by final completion within 30 additional consecutive calendar days.
