Description
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, on behalf of Kentucky Horse Park, is soliciting bids for one or both of two service lines: nighttime removal of stall bedding shavings and horse manure from designated storage locations within barn complexes, and loading and hauling muck from the park's disposal area for off-site disposal. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, transportation, weighing, disposal, and other resources required. Night work may begin no earlier than 6:00 p.m. and must be completed by 6:00 a.m.; operators must be experienced in low-light machinery operation and working safely around horses. Each hauled load must be weighed at an approved certified scale, with certified weigh tickets submitted with monthly invoices. The contract is for an initial one-year period, with four optional two-year renewal periods. Award will be by line item, and multiple contracts may be awarded. Price accounts for 90 evaluation points and experience for 10 points; five years of experience is the minimum requirement. Proof of required insurance is due before award, not with the bid.
