Description
The City of Lincolnton is soliciting competitive bids for the annual resurfacing of selected city streets. Work includes milling where specified, placing a 1.5-inch asphalt overlay using S9.5C or an approved equal, preparing and patching base failures, paving into existing gutter pans, and adjusting or protecting water valve boxes and manholes during paving. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, mobilization, and traffic control necessary for the work. Traffic control must follow an approved plan and MUTCD standards. Bidders must provide itemized pricing for each of 15 listed street segments because the project may be divided among multiple contractors. Certificates of insurance covering workers’ compensation, general liability, and automobile liability are required, with the City of Lincolnton named as an additional insured. Bidders must also submit examples of comparable work for local or state governments and/or references.
