Description
The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, through the Division of Employment and Independence for People with Disabilities, is soliciting a single vendor to provide a new Toyota Sienna XSE Sport, preferably a 2027 model, with a dropped-floor side-entry conversion and extensive adaptive driving modifications. The vehicle must include a BraunAbility XT 13-inch dropped-floor conversion, power sliding door, fold-up ramp with manual emergency backup, removable seats, rubberized flooring, kneeling system, wireless controls, and specified exterior and interior features. The scope also includes installation and fitting of hand controls, reduced-effort braking and steering systems with emergency backups, a steering-wheel device, turn-signal extension, auxiliary and cross-check mirrors, a six-way transfer seat base, an electric wheelchair restraint system, electrical protections, vehicle-weight assessment, client fitting, delivery, training, documentation, warranty support, and maintenance options. Vendors must be certified by the North Carolina EIPD Vehicle Modification Program and meet applicable NMEDA, NHTSA, FMVSS, manufacturer-certification, facility, insurance, and quality-assurance requirements. Electronic responses are required through the State's electronic Vendor Portal.
