Description
Catawba County is soliciting sealed bids from a single prime contractor for construction of an approximately 2,020-square-foot metal-frame operator building at the Blackburn Resource Recovery Facility. The scope includes demolition of existing pavement and site features, erosion control, grading and earthwork, concrete sidewalks and paving, asphalt parking and driveway areas, stormwater improvements, water and sewer connections, landscaping, and construction of the complete building. The building scope includes foundations and slabs, cold-formed metal framing and roof trusses, roofing and wall panels, doors and windows, insulation, interior finishes, restrooms, kitchenette, plumbing, mechanical and HVAC systems, electrical service and installation, lighting, signage, and related accessories. The bid is a lump-sum and unit-price proposal using the provided Bid Form and Bid Schedule. The selected contractor must complete the work within 240 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must attend the mandatory pre-bid conference, submit 5% bid security, and provide 100% performance and payment bonds at contract execution.
