Description
Mecklenburg County is soliciting sealed bids for pavement surfacing at Foxhole Landfill. The work includes milling approximately 4,300 square yards of existing asphalt at varying thicknesses and overlaying approximately 24,000 square yards of asphalt at varying thicknesses on existing roadways, along with associated speed bumps, rumble strips, and pavement markings. Bidders must be appropriately licensed as general contractors under North Carolina law. A bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid is required in the form of a certified check or bid bond. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Bids must use the forms contained in the contract documents and include all information requested in the Instructions to Bidders.
