Description
Iredell-Statesville Schools is requesting proposals from network service providers for WAN connectivity between its existing network hub at 549 N. Race Street, Statesville, and two new schools: Weathers Creek High School and Parkertown Elementary School. The district will consider leased lit fiber, private point-to-point fiber, Layer 2/3 Ethernet WAN, and other wired or wireless transport solutions that meet the requirements. Each connection must provide at least 10 Gbps symmetrical initial bandwidth, scalable to at least 40 Gbps, with specified latency, availability, handoff, and service-level requirements. Installation and initial configuration are required, and proposals may include special construction, nonrecurring charges, or alternatives without special construction. The RFP requires bidders to use the attached pricing worksheet and disclose applicable construction costs, routes, service levels, outage procedures, escalation paths, and network operations contact information. The district will consider multiple providers, technologies, termination points, and contract structures, including specified base terms with finite one-year extensions. Early turn-up may be offered before the July 1, 2027 service start date, and the district may require support for a future hub migration.
