Description
The Department of Homeless Services seeks a qualified medical provider to deliver medical and behavioral health services at a 394-bed assessment shelter for unhoused men. Services include comprehensive assessments to inform shelter placement, care for urgent medical needs, and crisis prevention and intervention. The site will also serve as a nurses station, with nurses potentially assigned temporarily to other sites or areas as needed. The contractor will provide health promotion and coaching, harm-reduction and overdose-prevention education, short-term counseling, and referrals for follow-up care in the community and other areas served by the department. Services must comply with applicable New York State regulations, department policies and procedures, and related court decrees.
