Description
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management seeks a consultant for programming and design services to repair and remodel Utah Valley University’s recently acquired Student Athletic Center. The initial contract covers limited programming followed by schematic design, design development, construction documents, construction administration, and warranty phases; the contract may expand to cover the full priority scope if additional funding becomes available. The construction budget is $3.1 million. The priority work includes replacing approximately 55,000 square feet of roofing and making mechanical systems serving approximately 58,000 square feet operational, followed by renovations to the east wing for wrestling training, athletic training, locker rooms, an academic center, and sports psychology spaces. Remaining improvements may include fire and life-safety systems, low-voltage and IT infrastructure, lighting and access controls, a nutrition kitchen, meeting and broadcast spaces, golf simulation areas, interior finishes, exterior signage, and parking-lot resealing. The consultant will also develop cost estimates and schedules and address the project’s programming and facility-analysis requirements.
